Some of you may already be familiar with Stephen Skinner through his amazing research into classical Feng Shui, which dates as far back as 1975.  Infact Stephen actually wrote the first English book on Feng Shui published in the 20th century, which was titled ‘Living Earth Manual of Feng Shui’.  Since then he has gone on to write many more books on this topic including Feng Shui for Modern Living, Feng Shui the Traditional Oriental Way, Keep it simple Guide to Feng Shui, Feng Shui Before & After, Flying Star Feng Shui and a must for any serious practitioner, Guide to the Feng Shui Compass.

Earlier this year Stephen relocated from Malaysia to Singapore and I had the pleasure of meeting him and his lovely fiance Navaneeta, after being a great fan of his work for many years.  Since then I have enjoyed quite a few meetings and conversations with this delightful couple, which  included the 2010 IFSA Conference in Singapore and the IFSA – Australia Chapter Dinner Party.

In December of this year Stephen and Navaneeta married and they very graciously invited my husband and I along to share in the celebration of  their Wedding Dinner, which was held just across the Malaysian border in Johor Bahru.  It was a great night in which we met quite a few fellow ex-pats and enoyed some wonderful Thai food and way too many gin & lime juices!  More importantly however we were also priviledged to once again witness first hand the obvious love and regard that Stephen and Navaneeta have for each other.  The lovely energy that filled the quaint old colonial style Thai restaurant that night could not only be attributed to great Feng Shui, but also to their genuine happiness!

For those people, who like myself are in awe of Stephen and his vast knowledge and contribution to Feng Shui, then hold onto your hats as there is a very good chance that he will be coming out to Australia some time in 2011 to run a short course!  I will let you know more details as soon as they are available and also post it on both my Calendar of Events and also that of the IFSA – Australia Chapter.      In the meantime I would like to wish everybody a safe, happy and fun filled festive season and look forward to bringing you more ‘blogs’ in the coming Year of the Rabbit.
