On the 25th & 26th September 2010 the Australian Chapter of the International Feng Shui Association (IFSA) was officially launched at the Brighton Savoy in Melbourne. Grand Master Raymond Lo travelled all the way from Hong Kong to perform the ribbon cutting ceremony and also to deliver four key note presentations over the following two days of the convention. Grand Master Lo is a founding member of the IFSA, serves on the Executive Committee and for many years now has been a wonderful teacher, mentor and friend to many in the Australian Feng Shui community.
The Inaugural Feng Shui Masters Convention provided a wonderful opportunity for a large number of students, practitioners and teachers to gather together and listen to our talented and knowledgable speakers deliver presentations on Feng Shui, IV Pillars of Destiny and I Ching. It also gave all of us a great chance to network, socialise and enjoy the company of our friends and colleagues in a relaxed and informal setting.
For many people this was the first time they had attended an event such as this and their positive feedback has certainly confirmed to us how important ongoing professional development is. With this in mind the Management Committee of the IFSA Australian Chapter will be holding three more exciting events during the course of next year. The first of these will be ‘World Feng Shui Day’, which will be held simultaneously in both Sydney and Melbourne on the 5th February 2011. This event will celebrate both the Chinese New Year and also the global spread of Feng Shui. More details will be available early next year on the IFSA Australian Chapter website, so make sure you put this date in your diary as I would love to see you there!
